We all have excuses as to why we bail out on the gym or yoga class. Well, I have news for you! You should never have an excuse for missing a workout, because most people have at least 10 minutes a day to spare. All it takes is 10 minutes of your day to squeeze in a quickie workout.
There was a great post on Huffingtonpost.com that offers 10 minute workouts from profressionals Ben Greenfield, Kristin McGee, and Joe Dowdell.
Ben offers a 10 minute workout sequence that contains jumping jacks, body weight squats, push-ups, lunges, and dips.
Kristin offers a yoga-based 10 minute workout that features sun salutations, Surya Namaskara A, and Surya Namaskara B.
Joe offers a 10 minute workout sequence featuring goblet squats, push ups, romanian DB deadlifts, chin ups, standing DB push press, and planks.
All of these workouts are great and diverse, depending on what kind of workout you are shooting for that day.
If you click the “Huffington Post” link above, you will see these workouts more detailed. I’d recommend if you have even 10 minutes in your day to try these out. I can think of so many times during my day where I’m just sitting around waiting for my next plan. I could easily squeeze in one of these 10-minute workouts multiple times in a day.
In fact, doing 10-minute exercise routines three times in a day is actually extremely beneficial. You can receive awesome results from exercising in intervals. Here is a great article, called Adding Mini Cardio Bursts Into Your Day. It explains how short exercise routines are just as beneficial as working out for long periods!
